Fresh catfish available??
So cool!! This place has everything from dragon fruit to giant bottles of magi sauce, a whole aisle of different loose leaf teas, and roasted nuts... They even can clean and cut your fish for you! Even sell whole shark.... It's like a foodie's paradise
MoreHuge grocery store with wide choices of foods. I would even call this a "wet market" because of the live fish and crustaceans it sells. Plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits are available. They also sell freshly squeezed sugar-cane juice and other fruit juices. They don't allow pictures of the inside for some reason
MoreIf you're a fan of fresh produce, this is the place for you. Great options for fruits and vegetables as well. Wear a light sweater if you get cold easily.
MoreUnbeatable variety of produce, spices and meats from all over the world. Some items sold here are sometimes lower or competitively priced versus other markets and stores. There are also hard to find items here at this farmers market.
MoreI have been all over the world and this ranks as one of the best farmers markets anywhere. International produce, meat grocery items, prepared foods from every continent. People from all over the world shopping in the place. Makes every ethnicity feel at home. It's an adventure just walking through the place. This was Whole Foods before whole foods was a thing. Still better than any upscale market in Atlanta area.
MoreAlways busy and packed full of shoppers. Great prices and a HUGE variety of almost whatever you are looking for. For me, it's worth the trip (I live almost an hour away). Plus one of the only places in town to buy buffalo meat!! My husband and I make this trip at least twice a month and always leave with something new to try. Love it!!
MoreYou’ll find everything you need here! I’m Caribbean and all of my spices, herbs and all the vegetables I need is here. They have fresh fish and so much meat! The best farmers market here in Atlanta. Did I mention the wine? LOL! Wine from Spain, Italy and so much more. Love this place.
MoreI'm come all the way up from Florida a couple times a year for work and family and I always make time to shop here and stock up on vegetables, fruits, and other items to last me 2-3 months at a time to take back home. Nowhere else can I find the same vast selection for leafy veggies. This most recent trip I was surprised to find mangosteen fruit! One of my favorite. I did notice a small drop in selection then usual but such is the case everywhere due to covid. But it was still worth the stop.
MoreLove my weekly visits. Sometimes I go just to look. Thanks Jehovah for creating such variety.
MoreI travel 50 miles for groceries because they Always having a great variety of healthy fresh food. Great hours. Good parking. Clean. Friendly and easy check out. It's large too. Plenty of space and hand sanitizer at the door. Love this place. Worth the drive and the money.
MoreThis is my go-to place for spices, vegetables, legumes and certain harder to find item. Overall much cheaper than most grocery stores, especially the spices. Noticed the fruit was a little on the high side today, but not exorbitant. Ex - Container of strawberries were priced higher than Aldi, but less than Fresh Market. They also appeared to be out of many products. Could have been timing on my part. Only drawbacks are the lack of cart sanitizing, absolutely no noticable social disting measures (with the exception of no restaurant) and no limiting the amount of people in store. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people are real funny about that. Won't stop me from going though.
MoreIt's like Whole Foods, but slightly cheaper and more international produce. Produce is of great quality and good prices. You'll be able to find things here you can't find anywhere else. You can also buy certain items in bulk here for very cheap. The food court area is delicious. Again, like Whole Foods, but slightly cheaper and more international offerings. Every time I shop there I feel like I'm giving back to the community in some fashion.
MoreGreat market. Its gigantic. If you are from the Caribbean or Africa and live in Georgia, this is the place you will see items from home. If you are from NYC, you will feel you are on Flatbush or White Plains Rd!!!! Fish galore. Sugar cane, spices, herbs, breads. You name it.
MoreAn excellent and exceptional place to do your highest quality meat, produce and bulk food shopping. And healthy home made bakery items too...
MoreNice and fully stocked. It was very cleaned, especially given the crowds coming through constantly. The only thing is, they do not give you time to think about what you want.
MoreThe Dekalb Farmers Market offers people the widest range and selection of the finest quality food you can find in the Atlanta area. They simply have everything and a lot of it. Their prices are unbeatable and it is my favorite place to shop.
MoreCan you say the best market ever? There isn’t a thing I wanted that they didn’t have. Fresh seafood (like still swimming) bacon to cut, veggies everywhere-all kinds, and some you’ve never heard of. If you need a random spice that you’ve never heard of for a recipe, they have it, and it won’t cost an arm and a leg. I recommend going even just to walk around to see what they have so you know when you need something. I also went during COVID, and people were polite and observed social distancing.
MoreDeKalb County Farmers Market is always a treat. You can find all the fresh ingredients, spices, fruits, vegetables, and meats that you're looking for at fair prices. Take your patience with you though. It's always crowded with people who will run you over with their buggy or leave the whole buggy in the aisle. Once you get past that, it's all good.
MoreThe farmers market is a great place to get an super variety of grocery items. International and local. The product is fresh and the choosing it unlimited. There is something there for everyone. I go there to get things that my local grocery store doesn't carry. Go and give it a try.
MoreLove the selection of produce, proteins, spices, wines, and more. In this time of Covid I do wish they would limit the amount of people at one time. Social distancing was zero and only 60-70% of people wearing masks. They do have some sort of air purifying system but whether it's effective at filtering coronavirus is unlikely. I do appreciate the extra effort though. Yes, I will go back but not without an N95 mask.
MoreGreat selection of produce, herbs, wine/beer, flowers, coffee/teas and just about everything you can think of from all around the world. Great prices. I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl with my mom, it’s a staple. It’s a cold inside so bring a jacket and they don’t take credit so be aware.
MoreStill a great place to find all your culinary ingredients. We always want to shop here, especially for organic meat and seafood. If you're looking for fruits fresh varieties of fruit this is the place! they even have fresh juices that they make and varieties of different mushrooms different varieties of greens and herbs also an extensive collection of nuts and oils and vinegars. Oh and they do have a fresh flower market as well. They have an awesome selection with great customer service! There is so much staff there's usually not a wait unless you go on a busy day like maybe Saturday or Sunday or Friday evening. If you live in the local area or maybe in the surrounding suburbs this place is a must visit!!!
MoreIncredible selections and really great prices. Its really cold inside so bring a sweater! Extensive selection of vegetables from all over the world and fresh fish and meats. International foods, large assortment of spices, bakery and prepared foods by the pound. Lots of parking. Takes cash and debit card only, no credit cards.
MoreThe place is like a toy store for food. You can have fun just walking through the aisles. Yummy fresh baked goods and flowers too.
MoreThe Dekalb farmers market is my all time favorite market to shop at. It has mostly everything I need when it comes to fresh food products. I love the variety foods and when you are feeling up an appetite while shopping, they also have a hot bar where you can eat and lounge, but as of right now its closed due to the pandemic of covid-19. The people are friendly and I love the atmosphere of the store. If you're deciding to shop there, I advise you bring a warm sweater or jacket as it do get kind of cold inside. Overall, I'm satisfied with this store.
MoreGoing to The DeKalb Farmers market is like a mini international getaway! I love this place, they have just about everything that you could need in any recipe. I have seen fruits and vegetables that look like they are from another planet, also fresh herbs and spices. So many choices and the fresh ground organic coffee I won't go without . Don't forget to bring a lite jacket or sweater, it is very cold in meat and seafood departments.
MoreIt is easy to access using public transportation. The quality of food is good. Pricing is reasonable. Wasn't over crowded everyone i saw had their mask on.
MoreI have not been to this place in years! It's still the same though, and a great place to shop. You can find a lot of unique items for your cooking needs. I bought way more than I planned to LOL!
MoreAlways a great experience! I learn something new with each visit!Wall to wall foods of every type. People from all over the world shopping with ease. They don't take credit cards, so be sure to bring cash, debit or possibly checks. This is not a dash in for a quick pick-up kind of place; plan to stay a while because it's just that kind of atmosphere. Easy to get caught up while browsing each aisle.
MoreThe best fresh food stuff for my health. It is made easy for me and my family to eat healthy. The best prices, best customer service to help us find the items we need for a healthy meal. Staff attentive when you ask for assistance. Wow! Again the prices and they have healthy options for our sweet tooth dilemma. Check out easy peasy!
MoreI rate it a 3.. because it’s massive and it has a variety of things to choose from! The reason it’s not a 5 is because I bought $400 worth of meat here last week. So far the chicken wings, the shrimp and the parrot fish all taste like bleach or embalming fluid. However the king crab did not. It was good! Also the oxtails .. did not tender up even in the pressure cooker. They were extremely old! And I hadn’t noticed when I bought them because they where frozen. All the meat at the market appear to be fresh.. but it’s a different story when you cook it!
MoreSince moving to Atlanta this is my favorite place! So many items you can spend hours just looking at all the selections! I love the goat and the quality of the meat and the fish.
MoreThis is a great spot. You will find Meat, seafood, baked goods, coffee, chocolate and many more items. The parki g can be tricky but we always find space. The seasoning section is amazing and priced just right. This is our go to spot for fresh produce. You can get a huge bunch of basil for a fraction of what you pay at the regular grocery store, and better quality. The chicken tastes better here. It just tastes better. Visit the market and see for yourself!
MoreI enjoy coming to the Farmers market. You can pretty much find everything there and its fresh - cake, coffee, fruit, veggies, all kinds of meat and much more. My favorite department is seafood and the bread. There are so many varieties and its baked fresh each morning. The staff could be more friendly and professional. I am a true believer in customer service and I think there could be some improvements, but for the most part it's a good place to shop as long as you don't mind the crowds ALL THE TIME. Enjoy.
MoreNever a disappointment. The best market I have ever visited. Muscadines are in season and they had them.
MoreGREAT PRICES! Its cold in there. Fast checkout
I absolutely LOVE this place! The quality of meat and produce is outstanding. The prices are great!!!
MoreCan't go wrong! Most people (95%) are wearing masks and there's so much here - if you need a foodstuff, odds are you will find it. So many choices, and I have been able to expand my palette by branching out and trying new things - such a wonderful experience!
MoreI love this place, they have just about everything that you could need in any recipe. I have seen fruits and vegetables that look like they are from another planet, also fresh herbs and spices. So many choices and the fresh ground organic coffee I won't go without . Don't forget to bring a lite jacket or sweater, it is very cold in meat and seafood departments.
MoreStill one of my favorite places in the city. One draw back no one in the fish section was practicing social distancing. This place offers ever possible thing you could or could not think of. I love the international vibe.
MoreI love this place. They have a variety of grains, health foods, fruits and vegetables. One of my favorite places! I just wished they had one closer to where we live. We travel 1 1/2, that’s how much we like it. 😊 Being on a plant based diet, they have so many things we need that we can’t find in a regular grocery store.
MoreOne of my all time favorite grocery stores. It has pretty much everything for good prices!
MoreVery well stocked and helpful staff. I bought prepared meal out of the cooler shelf: beef pot pie, chicken pot pie, and macaroni and cheese. They are currently in the oven and smell awesome. I only wish I took more time to visit the market more regularly.
MoreFruits & Veggies are always SUPER fresh. They have a mask mandate in their store which makes me feel safe when shopping in the market. Always have tons of registers open so their is never a long wait when checking out.
MoreNice products. Good variety and choose options. No credit card payment. Very cool environment inside the building. Very crowded in a week day at 15h30. Car access was dreadfully doe to construction.
MoreOnly been once. Pleasently surprised. Lots of variety in meats, seafood, produce, fruits, spices, cheese etc. Very clean. Does not have the strong smell of raw meat and seafood. WEAR A JACKET! Very cold in there. All forms of payments are accepted. Even EBT.
MoreI used to love going here for ALL my organic fruits and vegetables but I've noticed recently that the labeled organic products aren't organic!!!..Even my children are telling me that I'm buying the wrong ones and they've noticed it too. I think this is VERY dishonest and I wish there was a way to expose them for this!. The customer service is not satisfactory either as the lady there always seems so annoyed if questions are asked. They make and will continue to make money so it only fair that they stop misleading people with false products for 'organic' prices!.
MoreLots of problems here...English.Lost in translation Punctuality Well you can forget thatArrival at 05:19 unloaded at 09:43 and...Nothing. Waiting on 4 signatures for 4 pallets. So, be prepared for the international show of OFSLOW!......
MoreThis is my favorite Market. I love the variety and prices. Everything is so fresh and smells so good from the herbs to the breads. This is a food lovers paradise and I highly recommend DeKalb's Farmers market to anyone looking for variety and fresh produce, they have everything!
MoreWhile this market may be overwhelming for some who are committed to a "whole foods" or "fresh market" brand experience, the authenticity and lack of pretentiousness is a part of what makes this place amazing. Fresh milled grains, hand butchered kosher and halal meats, locally smoked deli products, and a produce selection from every corner of the globe is what this place delivers EVERY SINGLE TIME. But beware if you are going for the first time-- it is INSANELY crowded on Saturday AM after 10:30, and this is not the best place to buy commercial pantry items like ketchup or grape jelly. That's not what they are in business for. But if you want bonito yams, snow peas, fresh ginger, and they peppers, with authentic chili paste to go with it -- this is your spot!
